NHS Health at Home Campaign

NHS Health at Home Campaign

The NHS Health at Home campaign signposts the public to the information they need to contact their GP, order repeat prescriptions, manage their wellbeing and existing conditions – without having to leave home.

The coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak means you should stay at home as much as possible, but it’s still easy to get NHS help using your smartphone, tablet or computer.

The NHS Health at Home page has information to help you:

  • Order repeat prescriptions
  • Contact your GP
  • Find out about urgent dental treatment
  • Manage long-term conditions
  • Maintain your mental and physical wellbeing

If you need an NHS service, try to do it online first. This helps everyone to follow social distancing.

When to go in person
You should still go to hospital in a serious or life-threatening emergency, or if you feel very unwell.

You should also continue to attend appointments for ongoing treatment, unless you have been told not to.

Otherwise, speak to the GP, hospital or other NHS care provider. They will tell you if you need to go in person.

One of the links in the site takes you to Health Unlocked with over 700 online communities if you wish to connect with people who have a similar health condition.

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
