Sheffield has a new Adult Autism Support Hub offering free support to autistic people, aged 16 and above, and their (informal) carers and families in a welcoming and safe environment at the Mental Health Matters Building, 44 Bank Street, Sheffield, S1 2DS (Monday & Wednesday only) with virtual support in the evening on Tuesday & Sunday. The team is able to provide helpful information and advice and support you to connect with local community groups.
One to One and Group support is available via phone calls, face to face appointments, online video consultation and email. For full details click on their webpage.
The Hub was launched in late November following a period of co-production and will be regularly reviewed to make changes/adaptions to ensure it continues to meet the needs of individuals who are accessing the service. Feedback on the website, leaflet and banner designs is welcome prior to finalizing the design in January and the Hub will be reaching out to look for experts by experience to help design workshops.
You can contact the Hub on Mobile 07811 589 909 or Email adultautismsupporthub.mhm@nhs.net to enquire about the service and if you are interested in being involved with co-production just ask to speak to a manager.
