Look After Your Eyes : Eye Health Week Event

Looking after your eyes is important but many people are not sure of the best ways to do it – half of sight loss is preventable with early detection – so the annual National Eye Health Week ( from 24 – 30 Sept this year ) takes place to remind us all.
National Eye Health Week is organised to raise awareness inspire and educate people on the importance of eye health and inform them why they should go for regular sight tests. To mark the week staff and volunteers from Sheffield Royal Society for the Blind (SRSB) will be based at Virgin Money Lounge on Fargate from Monday 24 until Thursday 27th September offering non-medical vision screening for visitors plus information on their support services and equipment available at their centre on Mappin Street.

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
