After a year of lockdowns, social distancing, and restrictions, more of us are experiencing loneliness more than ever, which is having a great impact on our wellbeing. Loneliness Awareness Week take place every year from 14 – 18 June, hosted by Marmalade Trust through a campaign that raises awareness of loneliness and gets people talking about it.
This year the Marmalade Trust is encouraging people to see loneliness as an experience, not a condition that defines us. By building a greater awareness and acceptance of loneliness, we can help ourselves and others to manage the feeling.
The trust offers a number of resources including a guide to Loneliness and a three step approach to taking action that could help you or anyone you know who’s lonely.
The Guide to Loneliness( including steps ) is also available as a PDF to download here
You could also take a few moment to complete their Loneliness survey.
