A Sheffield-based organisation which supports relatives of adults with learning disabilities or autism has launched a petition calling for all employed carers to be paid the living wage.
FLASh, which stands for Families Lobbying And Advising Sheffield, hopes to be able to gain the 10,000 signatures required for the petition to be responded to by the Government then the 100,000 for it to be discussed in Parliament.View Flier
The organisation collects and collate the views, evidence and issues of family carers across the city, shares information and opportunities with families to speak up and and influence support to families and talks to the people, politicians and services who are responsible for making things happen. It aims to work in partnership with decision makers at all levels to get the best results for families.
