Join our new Healthy Living Steering Group

We are launching a new co-production project that’s aiming to make healthy living and physical activity opportunities more accessible for adults with a learning disability, autism or severe mental illness. We’re currently looking for people with lived experience to join our steering group – if you are an adult with autism, severe mental illness or a learning disability, or you support someone with one of these conditions, we’d love to hear from you!
Take a look at the Project Summary or
the Easy Read Project Summary.

We expect the group to meet once every 6 weeks and for members to contribute a small amount of work between meetings. All work will be paid and full training will be provided.

Here is the Steering Group Role Description or the Easy Read Steering Group Role Description.

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

Very good presentation, brave of the speakers to tell their stories and had a very high impact - feedback from Mate/Hate Crime presentation and video session at Safeguarding Working Together Conference
