Do you want to lead a healthier lifestyle but aren’t sure how to get started and keep up the good work once you have managed to get going? Have you found different roadblocks along the way preventing you from changing to a healthier way of life?

Disability Sheffield is here to help you by offering a new online, peer-led group for disabled people who want to lead a healthier lifestyle. The group is open to all disabled people including people with learning disabilities and autism and takes place every Friday at 10am for one hour on Zoom.

The main aim of this six-week course is to support, signpost and encourage you to find what is out there and help make it work for you, with any adjustments you may need. And of course there is the chance to make new friends, share experiences and worries about diet and exercise and connect you to other initiatives and providers.

The last session is on Friday 13 November and we hope to offer another course in the New Year.

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.
