The Care Quality Commission (CQC),the independent regulator of health and adult social care in England, have started to carry out reviews of how health and social care services work together in an area to support people aged 65 and older.
Next week the CQC inspectors will come to Sheffield and they want to hear a wide range of views on how well services work together on some crucial aspects of care, such as:
- Supporting people so they can stay well at home
- Responding when people are in a crisis or their needs change
- Helping people to leave hospital safely and well
- Helping people to regain their independence after a hospital admission
At very short notice Healthwatch Sheffield have been asked to arrange a focus group of people 65+ or carers of people 65+ who have had relevant recent experiences. The focus Group will take place on Tuesday 13th February 2018 from 1.30-3pm at Moorfoot Building, Sheffield, S1 4PL.
