HealthRich Funding for Sheffield Cycling 4 All

HealthRich Funding for Sheffield Cycling 4 All

We are very excited that Sheffield Cycling 4 All, part of Disability Sheffield, has been awarded £46,000 over 2 years which will enable more disabled people to use the accessible bikes through providing more cycle sessions at a reduced cost. The funding has been awarded from HealthRich, one of 51 Community Interest Companies raising money to address health inequalities across England, Scotland and Wales through The Health Lottery.

We are launching the season on Thursday 23rd March from 10am to 3pm in Hillsborough Park. Do come and join us. Sessions will run every Thursday from 10am-3pm until the end of October, and then from 10am to 12noon throughout the Winter. Thanks to the funding it’s now only £3 to ride a bike and we plan to start a 2nd session each week too. We are also able to arrange Disability Group Specific Sessions.See press release . Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
