Goodbye and Hello to Our Trustees

Goodbye and Hello to Our Trustees

To commit to volunteering as a trustee is a big responsibility as essentially they are the people who lead the charity and decide how it is run, making sure it’s doing what it was set up to do. Trustees use their skills and experience to support their charities, helping them achieve their aims. We’ve been very lucky to have benefited from the fantastic knowledge and contribution of our trustees and recently some, for various reasons, are quite rightly moving on to new adventures in their lives.

So we bid a fond farewell and say a massive thankyou to Kate Whittaker, Natalie Yarrow and Adam Butcher for your commitment to Disability Sheffield over the years , for all your support , interest and enthusiasm, for guiding us along the way and we wish you well for the future.

We are equally fortunate to welcome ‘on board’ four new trustees, Die Green, Emmanuela (Emma) Banda, Robert Smith and Stephanie Ruth Hannam-Swain. We’re looking forward to getting to know each other better and thank you for choosing to support Disability Sheffield and our work.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
