Fancy a trip into Sheffield city centre but feel your mobility may make it difficult?
Well, the website sheffieldcitycentre.com – set up by Sheffield Business Improvement District – has produced information designed to help people get into and around the area, including mobility support.
There is a link to the Mobile Sheffield site, which provides pavement mobility scooters, manual wheelchairs and tri walkers for day use in Sheffield city centre.
They say: “Whatever your age or walking ability, we have a range of reliable products to ensure people with walking difficulties or disabilities can access shops and local amenities. Equipment can be hired by anyone with mobility issues, whether this is due to age, disability or injury.”
The car parking section also includes a link to Sheffield City Council’s city centre parking guide showing blue badge spaces, and to Parkopedia, which shows private spaces with facilities for disabled drivers.
