You may have noticed that the Sheffield Directory , Sheffield City Council’s community information website, has changed its layout recently and some pages are ‘under construction’.
Their community information team is looking for local people who can help them to improve the content of the website through coproduction – whether that’s information that’s missing, details that are wrong or out-of-date, or ideas for ways the website can help people to take part in their community and help each other.
The Council will pay £10/hour as well as expenses and any support with caring required.
If you think you might like to be involved, or if you just have questions and would like to talk to someone – please get in touch. Email information@sheffield.gov.uk or phone Heather (0114 273 4763) or Mike (0114 273 5925).
More detail about what they are hoping to achieve and coproduction is available here.
If you’re not ready to get involved yet but want to stay informed email sheffielddirectory@sheffield.gov.uk to receive occasional news on progress and plans.
We’ve sent some suggestions from Disability Sheffield to improve information for disabled people on the Sheffield Directory site and on Sheffield City Council’s website. If you are struggling to find the info you’re looking for give our free information service a call on 0114 253 6750 or email info@disabilitysheffield.org.uk and we’ll be happy to help.
