Free PPE to Collect

Anyone providing unpaid care and support to an adult with a disability or long term impairment, including a learning disability or autism, living in a different household, can now access free personal protective equipment (PPE). This will be available until the end of March 2022.

To arrange to collect your free PPE from one of the seven main family centres in the city contact Sheffield City Council’s family centre on 0114 273 5665 . The packs contain: face masks, shields, aprons and gloves.

This provision is in line with the following updated government guidance which includes information on washing hands, use of PPE, and respiratory hygiene.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.
