Free Digital Skills Course For Young Adults

Interested in improving your digital skills? If so – and if you are aged between 18-25 – disability organisation Leonard Cheshire may be the place to look.

They have set up a free course in partnership with the John Lewis Foundation for disabled young adults aimed at improving computer and work skills, which are delivered using a combination of remote and in-person sessions – with Sheffield among the places hosting it.

Participants without equipment will be loaned tablets to use during the sessions and a discretionary fund is available to upport a limited number of students with the purchase of equipment to keep.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
