Firth Park Support Group for Visually Impaired People Open Day

Sheffield Royal Society for the Blind, (SRSB), the local charity which was founded in 1860 to support blind and partially sighted people in Sheffield, is holding an information and open day for their Firth Park Support Group for Visually Impaired People.

The SRSB’s Firth Park Support Group is for anyone who is visually impaired and would like to meet people in a friendly, supportive environment.

It can be a huge relief to talk with people who are experiencing similar challenges, so visually impaired people are encouraged to attend and find out more.

You will hear about the services of SRSB and meet members of staff and volunteers. Free cake and refreshments will also be available and all are welcome.

The open day is free to attend and takes place on Wednesday 5th September, 11am to 2pm at the Pavilion Building, The Bowling Green, Firth Park, Sheffield, S5 6HH.

If you have any queries, contact Debra at SRSB:

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

Very good presentation, brave of the speakers to tell their stories and had a very high impact - feedback from Mate/Hate Crime presentation and video session at Safeguarding Working Together Conference
