On May 29th, something exciting is happening in Sheffield. OUT OF THIS WORLD is an evening for single people aged 25-35, where you might meet new friends, find romance or even come first in a quiz! The evening is autism friendly, suitable for people with mild to moderate learning difficulties and designed to include disabled people and people with sensory issues. There will be activities and a quiz, to help everyone get to know each other and a heap of allergy aware snacks and drinks. If you want someone to accompany you, there will be a separate area for them to wait and have a drink if you don’t want them cramping your style. And best of all, it’s FREE!”.
The event is organised by Charlotte Chester and has been inspired by her brother Alex. Charlotte believes that everyone deserves the chance to be in a relationship and is organising OUT OF THIS WORLD to bring a bit more romance to Sheffield. She says “all of us find the world of dating stressful, but some people have difficulties that add a whole extra layer of stress. If a venue isn’t easy for you to get into, if there’s too much background noise to hear properly or if you’re not confident with the route to get there then it makes meeting new people that much harder. At OUT OF THIS WORLD, we’re getting rid of as many of those extra stresses as we can – after all, flirting is already difficult enough!”
