Find Out More About Your Right To Participate

Are you interested in technology? Are you aware of the Equality Act but would like to know more? if so Disability Rights UK ( DRUK ) would like to hear from you.

They are about to launch a project called Right to Participate, which aims to increase awareness of the Equality Act, especially the ways it can protect disabled people from discrimination in everyday situations. It is particularly important to the organisers that they understand how disabled people use technology in everyday situations.

Over the next 2-3 months the organisation will be conducting interviews with disabled people about their use of technology and the Equality Act. This will help DRUK to plan the next phase of Right to Participate, as they look to collect and share disabled people’s experiences of discrimination and how they overcame the barriers faced.

If you wish to take part in these interviews, please email rtp@disabilityrightsuk.org and a member of the team will get back to you.

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.
