Festival All the People Party

Festival All the People Party

The Festival of Debate is a non-partisan programme of events during April and May across South Yorkshire. It asks us to explore the most important social, economic, environmental and political issues of the day.

The Festival has programmed a new collaborative event that brings together artists with and without disabilities. It’s an inclusive party for all the people on Thursday 15th May from 6.30 to 10.30pm at the Leadmill.

Headlined by Jangly nightmare pop band SHRUB who sing songs about going for walks and the global apocalypse. The party also features Sheffield legends, multi instrumentalists, and purveyors of catchy and meaningful punk and rock sounds The Stars Band (Under the Stars), and gutsy all female acapella girl band Sparkle Sistaz (Under the Stars). Plus ‘Egg Funk’ pioneers Electric Fire (Heart n Soul) bringing their bumpy r’n’b, singalong choruses, and club bangers up from London.

Artworks will also host an inclusive live drawing jam featuring ArtWorks artists, Trik09, Kate Morgan, and YOU!

Under the Stars, ArtWorks & Heart n Soul all work to challenge perceptions of people with learning disabilities and autism through the power of music, theatre and art.

More information and tickets are available on the Festival of Debate Website

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

Very good presentation, brave of the speakers to tell their stories and had a very high impact - feedback from Mate/Hate Crime presentation and video session at Safeguarding Working Together Conference
