Disabled Access Day takes place on Saturday 16th March
The event – the fourth – is designed to celebrate those places which have made the effort to ensure that everyone can visit them and use the facilities. It was started in 2015 by Euan’s Guide, a website for disabled people to provide reviews and recommendations. It was set up by Euan MacDonald, himself a powerchair user, and his sister Kiki. Although they are based in Scotland, the guide now covers the whole of the UK and beyond. Euan’s Guide itself is always on the lookout for disabled people willing to write reviews.
Disabled Access Day has quadrupled in size since the first one and has major attractions such as Buckingham Palace and St Paul’s Cathedral signed up to it as well as many museums, galleries, other attractions and businesses. Check out Whats’ On .
