We all use our phones, tablets and computers to send and receive data, but how secure are they? 1.5 million cyber attacks happen annually, how protected are you?
We are creating a creature comforts style animation to inform employers about the risks and we need your feedback.
*WHEN
Wednesday 15th November
1pm to 3.30pm
Lunch provided
WHERE
Quaker Meeting House
10 St James Street, Sheffield S1 2EW
Skills for Care has commissioned Disability Sheffield, to review how you as individual employers and personal assistants process data
The workshop will:
· Review how you collect, share, store and send data
· Raise awareness of data protection legislation and what that means in practice
· Discuss how easy it is to become victim of cyber crime and what you can do to help prevent it
Please come along and join in and, if you want to, you could be rewarded with being the voice of one of our characters in our final production!
This will be in an informal, relaxed atmosphere, its not about shaming any bad practice, it is about highlighting the risks we all face when processing data.
There will be a second workshop on the 13th December to discuss the safeguards you can put in place to help protect your data.
This workshop is only open to individual employers and PA’s. Please let us know if you would like to attend by emailing Tess Daly View Flyer Invitation
Please also advise if you require any particular help on the day.
