Disability Sheffield at SheffEX 2016

Disability Sheffield enjoyed attending SheffEX 2016 to engage with the city’s leading businesses on the benefits of working with disabled people and attracting disabled customers in order to tap into the £80Bn spending power. We were also encouraging them to work creatively with the 60,000 odd unpaid carers in the City and to practice greater flexible working solutions and offer enticements to encourage carers engagement as customers.

Listen here to Andrew telling the SheffEX exhibitors what it was all about. You can read more about the Access Card and Carers Card via our webpages.

Thanks to everyone who visited our stand and thanks to the organisers for helping us attend and donating our stand space for free.

Thank you.

Andrew and Kathryn

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.
