Digital Security Workshop for Individual Employers

Do you employ personal assistants or are you a personal assistant? Think you don’t have to worry about Digital Security?

Think Again…… We would like to invite you to a workshop on Digital Security

On: Thursday 10th May 10am-12.30pm
At: The Circle, 33 Rockingham Lane, Sheffield S1 4FW

Disability Sheffield and the Sheffield Individual Employer and PA development group have recently completed a Skills for Care Funded project to develop some digital security good practice guidance and resources for people who employ PAs.

We are holding a workshop to:
• Showcase a talking heads animation developed by Flycheese studios which provides a brief overview of issues surrounding digital security and things to think about
• Explore the digital security workbook and the resources it includes
• Give you an opportunity to think about your current working practices and things that you might like to change.

You will be able to claim travel expenses and PA costs. To book a place please contact Emily Morton on 0114 2537647 (0114 2536750 main office number) or email emily.morton@disabilitysheffield.org.uk . Please let Emily know if you need any support to enable you to participate fully in the workshop.

Please feel free to invite any other individual employers and PAs who you think would benefit from this work.

Very good presentation, brave of the speakers to tell their stories and had a very high impact - feedback from Mate/Hate Crime presentation and video session at Safeguarding Working Together Conference

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.
