Emma Green of NHS Sheffield Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) writes in the Summer 2017 Sheffield Carers Centre Newsletter about NHS Sheffield Clinical Commissioning Group’s competition to design a new logo for the ‘For Pete’s sake!’ initiative.
What is ‘For Pete’s sake!’?
This is about a patient who had MS and
sadly died last year. In the later stages of his illness, in particular, there were lots of times when he saw small actions that could make significant differences to patients’ quality of life.
There were many times when things would happen that would lead him and his family to say “For Pete’s sake!” He was passionate about improving experiences for other people and enabling their voices to be heard.
His wife is now campaigning to make this his legacy. She is aiming to raise awareness of the small steps that can be taken to improve the experience for carers and families. She and her family want to use the branding ‘For Pete’s sake!’ to encourage all staff to think how they can best support people, what difference can be made and to see the bigger picture for the person, carer and family by making small steps.
How to enter
‘For Pete’s sake!’ are asking you to design a logo that is simple, easy to reproduce, and reflects the meaning of ‘For Pete’s sake!’ to show that small steps can make a big difference. The logo, no larger than A4, should be striking, instantly recognisable and easy to reproduce.
The competition is open for any carer, or member of their family, to enter.
Entering the competition is simple. You can email a scan or photo of your design to:
