Crystal Peaks 'Sensory Sundays'

Crystal Peaks shopping centre has launched ‘Sensory Sundays’.

Crystal Peaks explain that “not all shoppers are alike, some love the hustle and bustle, others want a more peaceful experience and see shopping centres as a challenge,” that’s why they have launched ‘Sensory Sundays’.

Sensory Sundays take place on the last Sunday of each month 10am – 2pm.
Stores will turn off their music, or turn it down to a low level. Hand driers will be switched off as well as children’s rides. Vending machines will also not make a sound. Sensory Sundays may be of particular interest to people with autism.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
