COVID-19 Independent Living Survey

COVID-19 Independent Living Survey

A new research project has been launched which aims to find out what longer term impacts on independent living have been caused for d/Deaf and Disabled people by COVID-19 emergency policies and lockdown.

The research by Shaping Our Lives asks d/Deaf and disabled people to complete a short Independent Living Survey.

There are 10 sections in the survey and many of the questions have a choice of answers. You are able to skip any question you wish and all answers will be kept anonymous.

The findings will be used to tell people in national and local government the support d/Deaf and disabled people need to get back to living independently, feeling safe and confident.

To complete the survey you can either:
1. Click here to complete your answers online.
2. Send an email to: information@shapingourlives.org.uk and they can send a Word version of the survey for you to complete.
3. Call Becki on 07956 424511 and do the survey over the telephone or by Zoom.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.
