Concertgoers are being asked to spare some cash when buying their tickets to mark Brain Tumour Awareness Month, help the people who have them and do research into stopping them.
WeGotTickets is asking everyone purchasing through them this month to make a donation to The Brain Tumour Charity, which is the largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours globally. As well as providing support for over 25,000 people, they’ve committed £41m to pioneering research and reduced the average childhood diagnosis time from 14.4 weeks to 6.5 weeks.
There are over 100,000 people living with brain tumours in the UK at any one time, with 31 people diagnosed every day. They’re the biggest cancer killer of children and adults under 40, and reduce life expectancy by an average of 20 years.
The charity itself is also organising events for this month including The Great Bandana Bake to raise funds.
