The Showroom has become Sheffield’s first deaf friendly cinema – with subtitled movies every Monday – and now has a deaf volunteer to meet and greet you in the afternoon and evening every Monday.
Adele Johnston , who uses either British Sign Language ( BSL ) or lip reading to help customers says “I am here to make sure you receive full support at the cinema. My role is to make sure you are comfortable and enjoy your time. I work in both the cinema and the bar/café. If you’re struggling with something, I can support you.” View Poster
