The Sheffield NHS Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) are planning to make changes to children’s NHS short breaks services (also known as respite care) for children with complex health needs.
“We have identified a number of areas where we think we need to make changes to improve short-break services, and to ensure we can continue to meet the needs of children with complex health needs and their families,” said a spokesperson.
The plans include introducing a single assessment process, introducing a new system for allocating short breaks and changing the way short breaks are provided, in order to have a more personalised and flexible system.
The consultation runs until March 28. To give your view take part in this survey
