The BFI Film Academy are recruiting twenty young people aged 16-19 to take part in the academy here in Sheffield at the Showroom cinema.
The academy will run from Wednesday 7th November until Saturday 26th January and takes place on Saturday of each week.
The fee for the course is £25.00 and bursaries to cover travel costs or childcare may be available to attendees.
Young people from all backgrounds and areas of the UK are encouraged to apply – the deadline for applications is Tuesday 23rd October at midday.
The course aims to give participants a real insight into the world of film making, equipping them with skills and experience that are essential to becoming part of the film industry.
All participants will be working towards a recognised qualification from Arts Awards and will be immersed in all aspects of hands-on film making, meeting fellow film enthusiasts and industry professionals from across the UK.
