Bereavement Support Group

Bereavement Support Group

Compassionate Sheffield recently collaborated on a project with Space to Breathe called Listening to Loss . The project creatively explored experiences of grief and bereavement in Sheffield and put the findings in a project report.

They are now pleased to announce the launch of their new, online bereavement peer support group, called “Compassionate Space”.

If you are interested in joining the group, full details can be found on the Compassionate Sheffield Website compassionate-sheffield.co.uk/compassionate-space

Following the programme of six, weekly sessions, there’ll be a monthly, informal, drop-in session, where participants are invited to drop in virtually for a cuppa and a catch up with each other. This space will offer the opportunity for conversation and ongoing connection, friendship and peer support.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.
