If you work for an organisation which supports people with a learning disability or autism, do you have a way for the people you support to give feedback, raise a concern, or make a complaint?
People with a learning disability, autism or both can find it harder than other people to give feedback, raise a concern or make a complaint. It is their right to be able to do this though and can help to improve the care and support they get.
“Ask Listen Do” is a good way of helping people speak up and could also help your service improve. It was developed by people with learning disabilities and autistic people.
The templates and leaflets are available for free on Speak Up’s website S for you to use for free:
If you already have a way to help people speak up that’s brilliant, if not you can try ‘Ask, Listen, Do’!
