Arts & Culture Feature Alongside Invictus UK Trials

The Invictus Games Trials take over Sheffield’s sporting venues in July and a programme of not to be missed, art and cultural activities have been announced to run alongside the sports competition.

Critically acclaimed West End play, Soldier On, by Jonathan Lewis, will form the centrepiece of an inspiring programme of creativity that also includes a series of workshops, exhibitions, talks and performances, such as Michael Morpurgo in conversation with Ade Adepitan, Dance workshop; Movement to Contact and Theatre workshops .

Produced and delivered by The Soldiers’ Arts Academy, this new initiative will demonstrate how those leaving the Armed Forces can look for new work outside the military family and find inspiration and security in the arts and creative industries.

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.
