Highstreet store Primark has launched an adaptive fashion range to help disabled people widen their clothing choices.
Many people with a range of disabilities have, among other things, problems with using zips and buttons and those who use stomas or tubes may need to cut holes in their clothes to ensure access.
So Primark has teamed up with fashion designer Victoria Jenkins to create 49 items of adaptive menswear, adaptive womenswear, nightwear and underwear.
Victoria is the founder of adaptive fashion brand Unhidden and leading advocate for disability inclusion. Using her own lived experience with chronic illness and disability and over 16 years’ experience in the fashion industry, she aims to help minimise the barriers of accessing adaptive clothing.
Announcing her partnership with Primark and the launch of an adaptive fashion collection, she said: “I am thrilled to be working with Primark as part of my mission to bring affordable adaptive fashion to the high street.”
