Accountable Care Organisations: what are they all about?

The next Healthwatch Voluntary Community and Faith Sector Forum event is next Thursday 14th September,10-12noon at Voluntary Action Sheffield

Entitled ‘Accountable Care Organisations: what are they all about?’ ,we will be discussing Accountable Care Systems (ACS) which are the proposed structure for health and social care, evolving beyond the Sustainability and Transformation Plans. The speaker will be Andy Payne, the National Head of Engagement for Healthwatch England. In October, formal engagement about the development of a regional ACS will begin. We think it’s important that before this, the VCF sector understands these new proposals and the possible opportunities that the changes could bring for organisations and service users.

All representatives of voluntary, community and faith sector groups across Sheffield are all welcome.

Refreshments are available from 9.45, with the event starting at 10am and finishing at 12noon.

Tickets are available by calling 0114 2536688 or via the Eventbrite link here

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

Very good presentation, brave of the speakers to tell their stories and had a very high impact - feedback from Mate/Hate Crime presentation and video session at Safeguarding Working Together Conference

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.
