The Dignity Awards panel are looking to recruit new members and expand the awards into other statutory organisations. Panel members are experts by experience and their role is to shape and co-produce the Dignity Awards process and screen nominations with the Council’s Practice Development Team.

A group of children with special educational needs and their parents have launched a legal battle to challenge planned cuts which they say will affect them. The families from Surrey have taken their case to the High Court in a bid to stop their local council taking £21m off their budget for services to disabled children.

The aim of the project is to improve services in Sheffield and raise awareness of the impacts of wage poverty and austerity. They would particularly like to hear from disabled single parent Mums.
