Congratulations to Sheffield Voices which has received 1 of 42 grants issued by the Tramlines Trust. Thanks to their funding for charities, grassroots community organisations and projects in the Sheffield area the award will support the development of Sheffield Voices’new LGBTQ+ café for autistic adults.

People experiencing homelessness are almost three times more likely to have a longstanding illness, disability or infirmity than the general population and are often living with more than one disease/condition. Together with the challenges brought by homelessness, recovery is very difficult without adequate support.

The regulator, Ofgem, said some of the worst examples of poor practice included suppliers failing to read the meters of customers who could not do so themselves.It also found that some vulnerable customers were unable to contact their supplier to top up their meter or to request support credit.

The Chancellor of the Exchequer has stated that electric vehicles (EVs) will be subject to Vehicle Excise Duty from 2025. Disabled people who are either entitled to VED exemption or a 50% reduction will continue to qualify when they make the switch to electric vehicles.
