  • ROFA to submit shadow report to the UN Convention on the Rights of Disabled People (CRPD)

    ROFA is submitting a shadow report to the UN Convention on the Rights of Disabled People (CRPD) scrutiny process in Geneva in March. They are currently updating their 2014 shadow report. ROFA will circulate to members a draft shadow report for comments before being submitted to the UN in the middle of February. User led organisations are asked to participate in this process by making sure their organisation is a ROFA member. ROFA is sending delegates to Geneva to meet with the CRPD committee to present evidence and discuss the UK Government report and the outcomes of the inquiry. A full briefing has been issued to MP’s on the UN enquiry and is available in full to download from the ROFA website.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
