    Sheffield Cycling 4 All is very sad to announce that their friend and great supporter Julius (Jules) Vernon passed away on 8th November 2022. Jules was a great advocate for cycling and the benefits it brings. His warmth and kindness helped to make people feel welcome when they came cycling.Thank you, Jules, for being part of our group and helping to shape it into what it is today.

    Disabled Mums Call For Right To Family Support

    The Disabled Mothers’ Rights Campaign is calling on councils to implement the support disabled mothers are entitled to under legislation, following a breakthrough ruling that Ealing Council had breached its legal duties under the Care Act, which include “having regard to the needs of the family” of the disabled adult whose care needs they are supposed to meet.

    Nothing About Us Without Us Exhibition

    Nothing About Us Without Us is a well-known disability rights slogan. It is also the title of a new exhibition at the People’s History Museum in Manchester, that explores how these rights have been fought for over centuries and the activism that has led this march forward. The exhibition opens on Wednesday 16 November at the start of UK Disability History Month and is open until October 2023.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
