    Sheffield Clinical Commissioning Group has recently revealed plans to open a new Urgent Treatment Centre at the Northern General and close both the Minor Injuries Unit at the Hallamshire Hospital and the Broad Lane Walk-in Centre near the city centre.The deadline for giving your views is Monday 18th December.

  • Davey Appeal Ruling

    A severely-disabled man has lost an appeal over local authority cuts to his care package in a decision described as ‘devastating’ by disability rights organisations.This was the first case brought under the wellbeing duty of the Care Act and it clearly demonstrated the limits of this duty. It is worth bearing in mind though that the case was mainly lost because of factual evidence.

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
