New guidance stressing that employers are allowed to reserve jobs for disabled people should help narrow the disability employment gap, say the Disabled People’s Organisations that asked for the legal advice to be published. Workplaces are still not as inclusive for disabled people as they need to be and employees are still waiting too long for the adjustments they need to reduce or remove the barriers they experience in their jobs, a new survey by the Business Disability Forum shows.

Sheffield City Council have introduced a separate phone number for people who want help to apply for the Household Support Fund on 0114 273 5258.Community Trusted Assessors are also available. Customers on prepayment meters have until 30th June 2023 to redeem their £400 vouchers under the energy bills support scheme.
