Yorkshire Ambulance Service are looking for people to join their Critical Friends Network

Yorkshire Ambulance Service NHS Trust has a Critical Friends Network , made up of patients, carers and members of the public who work together with the organisation to help develop and improve services. The people involved with the network will be expected to have had some contact with the ambulance service within the last three years to ensure the relevance of the contributions they can make.

The CFN members attend meetings four times a year and provide feedback via email and telephone on key projects.

So far projects that the CFN have helped to shape include the use of Patient Transport Service (PTS) calling cards, reviewing teh website, use of patient information and how they move patients safely, particularly if they have complex needs.

The network is looking for more people to join the network, in particular people with learning disabilities or autism.

You can find their application form here. If you would like to know more about the Yorkshire Ambulance Service Critical Friends Network please email cfn@yas.nhs.uk .

Very good presentation, brave of the speakers to tell their stories and had a very high impact - feedback from Mate/Hate Crime presentation and video session at Safeguarding Working Together Conference

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

A fantastic presentation thought provoking and good questions from the floor around promoting this film/message to the general public not just professionals.
