Sheffield Doc/Fest, one of the world’s biggest documentary film festivals, returns to the city this summer – and the organisers are looking for volunteers to help it all run smoothly. The event, which started in 1994, takes place from June 6-11 this year and as usual will consist of many films, speeches and presentations on a wide variety of different subjects.
Kathryn Reaney, the volunteering co-ordinator, said: There is a wide range of opportunities on offer from working with the public to helping out behind the scenes and everything in between. It’s a great opportunity to get involved with something that’s truly international and on the doorstep in Sheffield city centre.”
They welcome volunteer applications from people of all backgrounds. All Doc/Fest venues have good access for wheelchair users and they work to ensure the Festival is accessible to everyone.
