Walking for Purpose will be launching its 3rd block of walks on Tuesday 16 January 2018 delivering the project in High Green and Chapeltown for the first time. Walking for Purpose offers jobseekers the opportunity to gain valuable skills and training that employers want, whilst being active with a gentle walk.
Participants meet at a local venue where the Walking for Purpose friendly, approachable staff will walk with you to different training providers or workplaces where you will be able to:
- Gain valuable insight into the types of roles held within different organisations
- Get tips from local employers/training providers to make you more employable
- Develop and enhance your skills and experiences – great for your CV
- Receive a free one day travel pass for buses, trams and trains to help you attend
- Get access to free training courses
- Attend a celebration event at the end of your journey to celebrate your achievements
Anyone gaining employment as a result of Walking for Purpose will get a free one month travel pass!

Day: Wednesdays (walk only)
Start Venue: Town Hall entrance (City Centre)
Time:10.00 am – 12 Noon
Day: Thursdays
Start Venue: Darnall Wellbeing (Darnall)
Time: 10.30 am – 12.30 pm
Day: Fridays
Start Venue: Town Hall (City Centre)
Time: 10.00 am – 12 noon
