Last night the House of Lords voted against the Government’s plan to cut Employment and Support Allowance for people in the Work Related Activity Group from 2017. Lord Colin Low and Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson spoke powerfully in the debate and were armed with the voices of nearly 100,000 people who signed a petition against the proposal and the lobby of parliament on 13 January.
