Vaccination FAQs and Case Studies

Vaccination FAQs and Case Studies

NHS Sheffield Clinical Commissioning Group is encouraging people to have their Covid-19 vaccinations explaining who’s being vaccinated now and how to book your vaccine.

Their Frequently Asked Questions page also covers topics such as the safety and effectiveness of the vaccine and who should not have the injection.

On 16 February, the government announced they were expanding the number of people being asked to shield because they are extremely vulnerable to serious complications from Covid. This new criteria is based on a combination of factors including underlying health conditions, ethnicity, age, weight and deprivation. All the new people now identified as extremely clinically vulnerable will get a letter from the government asking them to shield and explaining what they need to do. This data will be shared with GPs and their patients will be prioritised to be vaccinated.

Sheffield CCG’s Facebook and Twitter pages also contain case studies providing snapshots of local people’s experiences of having the jab.

You can watch our very own James Martin from Disability Sheffield talk about his experience of getting the jab on a case study here.

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
