Tickets for Good

Tickets for Good

Would you like to receive a pair of O2 Academy tickets for free? Then please read on…….

Disability Sheffield are delighted to be supporting Tickets for Good in developing their services for disabled people. Based in Sheffield Tickets for Good ( T4G ) uses ticket sales to create donation programmes within the events industry for charities and social projects.

T4G encourage event organisers to identify causes and charities they believe in and work in partnership for the benefit of community. They do this through the sale of tickets online. It is a really simple idea where people buy tickets for their favourite events and generate donations to various causes. People are encouraged to make extra donations on top.

Ticket Bank
Operated by T4G the Ticket Bank provides event tickets to disadvantaged and marginalised individuals free of charge. Ticket Bank believe arts and culture should be accessible to all and socially inclusive. They work with event organisers, charities and community organisations to distribute otherwise unused event tickets to beneficiaries, creating fantastic life experiences that provide wide ranging benefits to health and wellbeing.

The Ticket Bank project are looking at ways that they can better support the needs of disabled people and potentially support them to gain better access to tickets to events.

Ticket Bank Workshop 9 December 2019
Disability Sheffield are to help explore improving the scheme by holding a Ticket Bank workshop on 9th of December 2019. Kicking off at 1:30 PM and finishing at 4 PM, the event will be held at the Circle where participants will investigate a number of areas, including:

• How access information is displayed on the Ticket Bank website
• How to Optimise the website for disabled users
• Explore ways that we can use tools such as the Access Card to provide direct access to our donated tickets on the Ticket Bank to Access Card users (rather than them needing to go via a charity).

In return for your participation you will receive a pair of O2 Academy tickets as a token of appreciation from Tickets for Good.

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
