The EU Referendum - Brexit or Not?

Disability Sheffield has no formal position on the referendum vote on June 23 but we would urge disabled people to cast their vote and make your voice heard. If you’re following all the debate and you’re still undecided how to vote, you may wish to read on.

The Commons Library and Lords Library has produced impartial analysis of the UK’s referendum for remaining in or leaving the European Union. It presents the different arguments and opinions on potential “Brexit” and on remaining in the EU here.

In the interests of balance, and in the spirit of debate Disability Rights UK have linked to two articles, one for and one against leaving Europe giving both sides of the argument here.

Also available on Youtube are BSL Videos on Vote Remain and Vote Leave

The learning disability charity Mencap have produced 11 easy-read guides about voting, registering to vote or supporting someone else to vote, all of which can be found here.

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
