Take The Chance To Work With Nature

Take The Chance To Work With Nature

Are you passionate about wildlife and nature and want to work in conservation, but don’t have the practical experience or qualifications?

Sheffield and Rotherham Wildlife Trust, has joined up with its equivalents in Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire to offer full-time funded traineeships. Working for Nature offers bursary paid positions for people from harder to reach backgrounds to get their foot in the door of the conservation sector and recruitment for the next cohort of trainees is now open! You will gain practical conservation skills, a level 2 environmental conservation qualification and funding of over £11,500.

There are no previous qualifications required – you just need to be over 18, have a passion for the
natural world and be ready to learn new skills.

You can find out more on the Derbyshire Wildlife Trust website. You have to register for their information session on Wednesday September 15th to apply.

For further information you can email enquiries@derbyshirewt.co.uk or telephone 01773 881188.

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)

Disability Sheffield is a forward-thinking, energetic organisation doing a lot of positive work in Sheffield. I have no doubt they will continue to do so for a long time to come.
