NHS England has set up a survey into possibly stopping prescriptions of some medicines which are already available to buy.
According to the NHS Clinical Commissioners there are many GP appointments every year for illnesses that patients can treat themselves and they are often prescribed drugs that can easily be picked up in pharmacies and supermarkets. It is thought if more patients were to do this, it would save the NHS considerable amounts of money.
The online survey has been co-designed by learning disability charity Change and is in an easy-read format.
If you have any questions about the survey please email: info@changepeople.org
CHANGE is also hosting focus groups for people with learning disabilities in Leeds on 26 February and London on 6 March , paying for travel costs on provision of a receipts/tickets.
