Support for Adult Social Care Providers

Sheffield City Council Adult Social Care have collected together a range of information in an effort to support organisations providing care services in Sheffield.

Support for Care Home staff
Social Care and Care Homes staff can access the following number for confidential support (this is the same as the number shared for NHS staff to keep it simple for staff to access).

  • Call: 0300 131 7000 (7am-11pm, seven days a week)
  • Text: FRONTLINE to 85258

Care Home and Social Care Staff also have access to the bereavement support line by Hospice UK.

  • Call: 0300 303 4434 (8am-8pm, seven days a week)

Apps: social care and care home staff currently have access to SilverCloud, Sleepio, Daylight and Stay Alive – staff and managers can sign up using the link on the People site: https://people.nhs.uk/help/

Getting your residents to move more

Support for Staff
Sheffield City Council Adult Social Care explain that they “recognise the pressure that you are under as managers and the need you may have to talk things through with someone experienced in social care.”

“We have experienced social workers who are available to contact you for a chat and to offer peer support at this very challenging time. Let us know and we can put you in contact with one of the team.” To speak to someone about this opportunity, contact providercovid19@sheffield.gov.uk

When I moved to Sheffield nearly five years ago it was my "go to" organisation. I expect it to stay that way. All the staff and volunteers seem to pull out little gems of effort that disabled people like me couldn't do without. Professionally and personally - I love em :)
